UCLA School of Law receives notices and information about various scholarships, fellowships and writing competitions sponsored by other law schools, universities, foundations, alumni associations, bar associations, etc. The Financial Aid Office will post applicable notices on this page as received.

LAW OFFICES OF RANDY COLLINS SCHOLARSHIP
Having always been firm advocates of higher learning, we are proud to give back to those aspiring to become lawyers. This $1,000 law school scholarship opportunity is awarded to one student each year based on verifiable merit.

THE REEVES LAW GROUP SCHOLARSHIP
This $3,000 scholarship will be awarded to a deserving law student who authors a winning essay in our fourth annual Scholarship Essay Contest.

This $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a single student to help support their efforts in continuing their education. Any law school student an accredited university is eligible to apply.

THE RAZAI & NEFULDA ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP
We recognize that as the next generation of professionals, we have a responsibility to give back to our communities. To accomplish that goal, we have set up the $1,500 Razai & Nefulda merit based Family Law Scholarship, which is awarded to one student.

FARZAD FAMILY LAW SCHOLARSHIP
As strong advocates for higher learning, we are proud to give back to aspiring lawyers through this $1,000 merit based scholarship.

BARB CURRIE DIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP
The FDCC Foundation Barb Currie Diversity Scholarship will be open to application by all diverse law school students and prospective students. The selected recipients will receive a $5,000 academic scholarship to the law school of their choice and have an opportunity to intern for an FDCC law firm or company in the geographic areas where they wish to practice between their second and third year of law school. The internship is a paid position.

EMPLOYMENT LAW SCHOLARSHIP
The employment law attorneys at Strianese PLLC are interested in supporting students with strong academic credentials, demonstrating financial need, and an interest in attending law school and focusing on employment law issues. This scholarship is a one-time award of $1,000.

CRIMINAL DEFENSE SCHOLARSHIP
Rosenthal & Wadas, Attorneys in McKinney, Texas, are pleased to offer this $1,000 scholarship. The applicants will be judged on merit and need. Academic achievements as well as any leadership experiences will be taken in to account. This will be a one-time award.

2016-2017 JUSTICE HOLLIS G. BEST SCHOLARSHIP
As a memorial to the late Presiding Justice Hollis G. Best, his friends have established a scholarship to encourage and support outstanding academic achievement and commitment to service by law students. This scholarship is an annual award presented this year in the amount of $1,000, during the Spring 2017 semester. More than one scholarship may be awarded.

TIMOTHY J. RYAN & ASSOCIATES LAW SCHOLARSHIP
This $1,000 scholarship opportunity will be awarded to one law student each year and will be distributed based upon verifiable merit and an essay.

AARON SWARTZ PROGRESSIVE CHANGE SCHOLARSHIP
Each year we plan to award at least $1,000 to the top essay related to law and activism. This award is open to all part-time and full-time law students. Based on submissions we will award up to three awards.

THE LANDAS MEMORIAL AWARD
This $2,000 award was established in memory of Stephen P. Ladas, distinguished practitioner and author. Funded by Ladas & Parry LLP, this yearly award is presented in Student and Professional categories for a paper on trademark law or a matter that directly relates to or affects trademarks.

PUBLIC DEFENDER SCHOLARSHIP FOR LAW STUDENTS
This $1,000 scholarship will be awarded annually to a law student who has completed an internship, externship, or clinic with any public defender’s office (or otherwise represented indigent criminal defendants).

JABA EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS
The Japanese American Bar Association Educational Foundation is pleased to offer five scholarships of $2,000 each.  Applications are currently being accepted from law students with a demonstrated commitment to community service, including but not limited to a commitment to serving the Japanese American community and/or the API community. Additional factors may include financial need, adversity, academic achievement, and desire to practice law in the Southern California area.

HORWITZ, HORWITZ & ASSOCIATES LAW SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP
We have made it a goal to help the best, brightest, and most motivated individuals enter into the legal profession, regardless of their financial circumstances. To help achieve this goal we created this scholarship. The recipient of the award will receive $2,000 towards educational expenses.

IMMIGRATION SCHOLARSHIP ESSAY CONTEST
The essay can be written on these five subjects - deportation, how to apply for a work visa H1B , the importance of having an immigration lawyer, investment visas, or explain the different types of visas. The essay winner selected will receive a $2,500.00 scholarship from USAttorneys.com.

LAW SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP
Raiser & Kenniff, a Los Angeles criminal defense law firm, believes in helping lawyers get the education they rightfully deserve, and need. Our attorneys want to help students by contributing funds from our salaries into the creation of a brand new scholarship for college students.  This $4,500 scholarship is renewable.

LAW SCHOOL ESSAY CONTEST
The topics for the essay contest can be any ethical issue that arises in the context of representing plaintiffs in personal injury and wrongful death cases.  The first place winner will receive $2,500 and publication on Brogdon Champion's website.

We are proud to offer a $1,500 scholarship to a current or aspiring law student.  This award will be based on an essay ranging from 500 – 1000 words on a topic of your choice.

This is a biannual scholarship of $1,000, offered to a student who plans to pursue a career in the legal field. WHITE COLLAR CRIMINAL DEFENSE SCHOLARSHIP
While our firm specializes in white collar criminal defense, all of our attorneys have a background in indigent defense.  Therefore, for the 2017-2018 academic year, we are targeting this $1,000 scholarship for students who are working for, or plan to work for, a federal or state public defender’s office–in any unpaid capacity.

MICHIGAN AUTO LAW DIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP 
Our Diversity Scholarship for $2,000 is awarded to a law student who best demonstrates a commitment to issues of diversity within their academic career. Recipient is a U.S. citizen currently attending an accredited law school within the United States or accepted to attend a law school in the fall of 2017.

This $1,000 scholarship is designed to encourage and award creative authorship. Informing various audiences is part of the legal profession. The ability to clearly and accurately relay a message is crucial, whether it is addressed to a person inquiring about legal services, a client, a judge, or a jury.

EMPOWERING WOMEN IN LAW SCHOLARSHIP
The Pearce Law Firm is pleased to announce our 2017 scholarship award for women studying law. Our annual scholarship of $1500 is judged & awarded primarily on academic achievement, school & community activities, and demonstrated leadership abilities.
