UCLA School of Law receives notices and information about various scholarships, fellowships and writing competitions sponsored by other law schools, universities, foundations, alumni associations, bar associations, etc. The Financial Aid Office will post applicable notices on this page as received.

YANEZ & ASSOCIATES FAMILY LAW SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The essay contest is open to all current law students and prospective law students awaiting admission. There will be two winners. First place: $2,000 and second place: $1,000. THE BAUMGARTNER LAW FIRM SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is awarded to current or incoming law students based on need and commitment to helping others. One student will receive a $3,000 scholarship. Applicants must be enrolled or accepted at an accredited Law School in the US, (persons who have applied to law school but have not yet been accepted may apply, however, the scholarship will only be awarded to someone enrolled in an accredited school at the time of scholarship selection).

AMBROSIO E. RODRIGUEZ SCHOLARSHIP
The Rodriguez Law Group, A Criminal Defense Law Firm in Los Angeles, CA, is offering a $3,500 scholarship to one law student throughout the United States. The scholarship will be based on an essay and can be done on any topic. The range can be from 500-1250 words, anything over 1250 words will not be read.

ITALIAN AMERICAN LAWYERS ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP
We offer an annual scholarship that may be of interest to UCLA Law students.  The amount of the scholarship is $3,000 and students do not need to be Italian to apply.  The scholarship winner will be honored at our meeting with the California Supreme Court.

THE HONORABLE PATRICIA HERRON AND THE HONORABLE ELLEN JAMES SCHOLARSHIP
The Contra Costa County Bar Association's Women's Section is proud to announce The Honorable Patricia Herron and The Honorable Ellen James Scholarship.  This scholarship is awarded annually to a deserving law student (or students) with demonstrated leadership potential, academic success, and a commitment to women's issues. The scholarship amount ranges from $1,000 to $10,000 depending on the quality of our applicants and the number of deserving candidates.

This $2,000 scholarship was established by Houston criminal defense attorney Lisa Shapiro Strauss in honor of her late grandfather, Martin Donald.  Mr. Donald was a Holocaust survivor, fighter, and honorable man – who embodied strength, character and justice.

As a memorial to the late Presiding Justice Hollis G. Best, his friends have established a scholarship to encourage and support outstanding academic achievement and commitment to service by law students. The Pearce Law Firm in Philadelphia is pleased to offer a $2,000 scholarship opportunity to women nationwide who are currently attending a law school in the United States.
