UCLA School of Law receives notices and information about various scholarships, fellowships and writing competitions sponsored by other law schools, universities, foundations, alumni associations, bar associations, etc. The Financial Aid Office will post applicable notices on this page as received.

EARL WARREN SCHOLARSHIP
Incoming law students with a demonstrated commitment to racial justice and civil rights may apply for this year’s revamped Earl Warren Scholarship. Only five law students will be selected to receive this prestigious award. To be eligible for the scholarship, students must be a U.S. citizen, college graduate or enrolled in their final year of college, possess a record of academic achievement, and have a demonstrated and ongoing commitment to racial justice. LDF’s Earl Warren awards are $10,000 per year for three years for a total of $30,000.

MARINE APPRECIATION LAW SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship was established to provide financial support to a law student whose life has been impacted by a family member serving in the Marine Corps and who is seeking to continue their education through law school. The $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to an applicant who submits the required application and essay by the deadline.

THE SANDERS FIRM SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
The Sanders Firm is proud to recognize students committed to supporting their local communities by volunteering their time in furtherance of the issues that matter most to them.  The scholarship of $1,000 was created to reward undergraduate or law school students who have demonstrated a meaningful commitment to his or her local community.

JOHN LEWIS KING MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND
This Scholarship program was established to provide Scholarship Awards to students who have substantial contact with the County of San Bernardino and who are currently attending a California law school which is either ABA accredited or one that has been pre-approved by the JLKMSF Board of Directors. At least one $5,000.00 scholarship will be awarded. Multiple scholarships may be awarded, based on the number and quality of applications received.

The Brett Law $2,000 Future Leaders Scholarship 2015 is available to law school students who have an interest in personal injury law and are working towards their Juris Doctorate degree.

CLARK LAW OFFICE SCHOLARSHIP
The goal of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to a worthy law school student.  We will be providing a $1000 scholarship to any law student enrolled for 2015.  We will base the judging criteria on the student’s academic performance along with the quality of an essay.

2015 DAVIS LIVINGSTON PUBLIC INTEREST LAW SCHOLARSHIP
The scholarship intends to support first year law students intending to pursue public interest law and add to the ranks of motivated young attorneys willing to consider a career as a public interest lawyer. The firm awarded two $3,000 scholarships in 2014 after finding two extremely worthy applicants.

BOND & BOTES FINANCIAL HARDSHIP SCHOLARSHIP 2015
This $2,000 scholarship is open to any U.S. citizen attending the first year of law school this fall, with an undergraduate cumulative GPA at or above 3.0. Applicants are asked to submit a short essay describing how they have overcome financial difficulties in their lives.  The scholarship will be awarded in mid-August, with payment made directly to the student’s school, to be applied to tuition.

GEORGE HOPPER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
The Fresno County Young Lawyers Association (“FCYLA”) is now accepting applications for this $1,000 scholarship.  This award is intended for currently enrolled as a second or third year law student, in good standing and who have a demonstrated connection to the San Joaquin Valley, as well as a desire to practice law in Fresno, Madera, Merced, Kings, or Tulare County.

The Law Office of Steven L. The Tiftickjian Law Firm, P.C. is offering the Juvenile Justice Scholarship in the amount of $1,000.  This scholarship is intended to encourage and assist students with attending law school with an interest in juvenile justice, as well as raise awareness of the issue of prison sentences and reduced rights for minors that place youths on an institutionalized path towards spending a large part of their life in the criminal justice system.
