Bar Associations and MCLE Events

Bar Associations are professional legal organizations with membership based on factors including common geography and/or specialty. Participating in bar association events (i.e., committee involvement, continuing legal education classes, etc.) is a great way to build a resource network and learn more about specific practice areas.

The American Bar Association website at www.abanet.org has links to state and local bar associations.  These local sites will have specific information on upcoming CLE opportunities and other events. Examples of some local bar associations include:
LACBA (Los Angeles County Bar Association)
BHBA (Beverly Hills Bar Association)
WLALA (Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles)

UCLA School of Law also hosts a number of  MCLE events, some of which may be open to students.
