Emmett Center Files Brief in U.S. Supreme Court Greenhouse Gas Case

on behalf of Amici Emmett Center and South Coast Air Quality Mgmt. Dist.

Today, the Emmett Center filed an amici curiae ("friend of the Court") brief in the U.S. Supreme Court case Utility Air Regulatory Group v. Environmental Protection Agency

The brief on behalf of South Coast Air Quality Management District and the Emmett Center provides information to aid the Court in understanding the practical implications of issuing Clean Air Act permits to greenhouse gas sources.  We show that the Clean Air Act can be applied to a wide range of greenhouse gas sources in a way that is manageable for permitting agencies and regulated source.

The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear oral argument in this case on February 24, 2014.
