The enrollment process for advanced students is conducted in two phases: first pass and second pass. The two pass system was created to provide students a more equal opportunity to obtain the desired courses. This is accomplished in two ways. First, the enrollment times have been divided into four groups. Group A being the earliest enrollment time periods and Group D being the latest enrollment time periods. Students are assigned to each one of the four groups during the four semesters which comprise their second and third years of law school. Second, the number of units for which a student may enroll on each pass is limited. Students may enroll in a maximum of 8 units during the first pass and a maximum of 16 units during the second pass.

Information about students' enrollment appointment times for the upcoming semester as well as for the remainder of their law school career will be sent to advanced law students by mail or email.

Students will use URSA Online to enroll in classes from the beginning of their specified appointment day and time through 11:59 p.m. on July 27, for their first pass and through 5:00 p.m. on August 25, for your second pass. Please note that waitlists are eliminated at 5:00 p.m. on August 25.

Students are responsible for ensuring that their schedules are accurate, thus, it is strongly recommended that they view and print their study lists via URSA after completing the enrollment process.

First year hybrid students cannot use the URSA enrollment system. They must meet with the Assistant Dean for Students to discuss their course schedules.
