In this course students will work on cases before the Supreme Court, while learning how the Court selects and decides its cases and how lawyers shape their arguments. The class will meet two hours per week. Students can expect to spend approximately eighteen hours per week working on their cases in two-person teams.
In spring 2011 most of our clinical work will involve petitions for certiorari on behalf of indigent criminal defendants, so Criminal Procedure is a prerequisite.
This course will not satisfy the Substantial Analytical Writing Requirement.
