Katy Hindle obtained a bachelor of social sciences degree in politics, gender studies and sociology in 2005, and a social science degree in international relations in 2008, both from the University of Cape Town (UCT) in South Africa. She went on to complete a postgraduate LL.B. degree at UCT in 2009. Hindle completed her articles of clerkship at the firm Edward Nathan & Sonnenbergs and was admitted as an attorney in South Africa in 2012. Matters of health, human rights and gender are the focus of Hindle's academic and extracurricular pursuits, and she plans to pursue a career in public interest law in South Africa.
