Godfrey Kangaude is an expert in sexual and reproductive rights. Since earning his first LL.M. degree, Kangaude's work has focused on research and advocacy for legal reform concerning the high incidence of abortion-related morbidity and mortality in Malawi. Kangaude's interests lie at the intersection of society, culture, and human rights, and in particular the sexual and reproductive rights of populations including adolescents, persons with disabilities, LGBTI persons, and women. He published an excerpt of his dissertation on the sexual rights of persons with disabilities in Review of Disability Studies: An International Journal and a chapter in the book Sexuality and Disability: Politics, Identity and Access (2010).
