This is a contracts law course that adds a practical perspective to a traditional first-year Contracts course. This course is open only to LL.M. students. In addition to covering the main US contract law topics, students will examine how contract law principles affect the real-world transactional practice. By studying actual contracts used by real parties, students will learn how to read and understand contracts and become familiar with common issues deal lawyers face in negotiating and drafting business contracts. This course will also cover practical transactional skills and negotiating tips. Students will be graded by their class performance and a final exam.
