Joshua Groban’s scholarship focuses on white collar criminal law, government law, appellate law, and civil litigation.  He is teaching a clinical course, State Appellate Practice during the Spring 2015 semester.

Groban received his J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School and received the Derek Bok Award for Excellence in Teaching.  Following law school, he clerked for the Honorable William C. Conner in the Southern District of New York, and then became an associate with Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP in commercial litigation.  He has also practiced law at Munger Tolles & Olson LLP in Los Angeles.

Groban served as chief legal advisor for Governor Brown’s 2010 campaign.  Groban now serves as Senior Advisor to Governor Jerry Brown and focuses on the judiciary and on legal policy.
