LAW 230 - Business Associations

This course explores the legal and contractual arrangements people enter into to collaborate in business.  They include agency and employment, corporations, sole proprietorships, partnerships (general, limited, and limited liability), and limited liability companies. The course also examines how legal strategy combines with the concept of “entity” to structure economic activity through corporate groups and other multi-entity structures.  Students solve and discuss legal problems set in practice environments. The exam is open book.
