<p>Marc Bender teaches <em>Lawyering Skills </em>and assists in supervising UCLA’s Trial Advocacy Clinic.</p><p>After graduating from the University of California Hastings College of the Law, Professor Bender became a staff attorney for Bet Tzedek Legal Services, where he eventually became a litigation and training supervisor. During this time, Professor Bender served as a volunteer supervisor for the Labor Defense Network of Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, whose county-wide clinics provide representation for low-income workers in employment matters. Professor Bender also served as a member of the L.A. Garment Workers’ Coalition, and has spent several decades advocating for and litigating on behalf of L.A. garment workers’ employment rights. He is also co-founder and four times past President of AFSCME Local 946, Bet Tzedek Legal Services Union.</p><p>Professor Bender has also coached basketball and baseball for many years at the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks.</p>
