Rachel Rubin is Marketing Counsel at Netflix, where she supports brand and original content advertising, and is in charge of marketing and advertising legal matters in Latin America. She was previously Corporate Counsel at Oracle Corporation, where she counseled on intellectual property, advertising, promotions, branding, and content regulation matters. She handled marketing, sponsorship, event, and intellectual property licensing agreements, and managed the company’s global trademark and copyright portfolios. Prior to Oracle, Ms. Rubin practiced intellectual property litigation at Reed Smith LLP in Century City, where she focused on advertising, trademark, copyright, social media, and entertainment matters.
Ms. Rubin serves as a Vice Chair on the ABA Antitrust Section Advertising Disputes & Litigation Committee. She volunteers as a mentor with YearUp Bay Area, consults for Sierra Club Green Home on sustainability and green advertising, and is a Dailey Method instructor. Ms. Rubin is a double University of California alumna: she graduated with high honors from UC Berkeley, and then attended UC Hastings College of the Law where she was Editor-in-Chief of the Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly.
