Year after year, in every area of legal expertise, UCLA Law faculty are recognized for their excellence. Faculty members have been honored with the campus’s Distinguished Teaching Award and the Eby Award for the Art of Teaching as well as the law school’s Rutter Award for Excellence in Teaching. They have received prestigious fellowships from the Guggenheim Memorial Foundation, Straus Institute, Russell Sage Foundation and Fletcher Foundation. Path-breaking research done at UCLA Law has been widely cited not only in academic literature but also in some of the most celebrated cases of our time.
As acclaimed as the faculty are by the academy, they are so much more. Our professors have been appointed to key administrative posts by the White House and have appeared on exclusive lists like the National Law Journal’s “100 Most Influential Lawyers in America” and the ABA Journal Blawg 100.
True to a tradition of service, many professors are actively seeking to change law and policy by arguing cases in front of courts, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and testifying in front of legislatures. Through their hard work, UCLA Law faculty have changed the way campaign finances are done and have advocated for the rights of homeless veterans.
With your gift of an endowed chair or research funds, you are supporting our efforts to recruit, retain and promote our outstanding professors.
