Professor Grady Comments on Antitrust Suits Filed Against Movie Studios Over DVD Releases in Daily Journal Article

November 2, 2009 -- Professor Mark Grady commented on antitrust lawsuits filed against movie studios over DVD releases in a Los Angeles Daily Journal article.

"If they all had an independent business justification to do it," said Mark Grady, an antitrust professor at UCLA School of Law, "then it would be OK."

"Given that they're all facing declining DVD sales, they're not in collusion - they're making independent business decisions," said Grady. "If there was evidence that they agreed, that would be a problem."
