The Law & Economics Society will be kicking off their year long series "Law, Economics, and the Green Movement." Our first topic will be ethanol, in particular we will be discussing a paper written by Robert W. Hahn and published in the Stanford Law and Policy Review titled Ethanol: Law, Economics, and Politics. Dr. Hahn is the founder of the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) Center for Regulatory and Market Studies. The Center's primary focus is the understanding and improvement of regulation, market performance, and government policies. I highly encourage you to read the paper on your own before the meeting.
