The collection of the UCLA Law Library is designed to support the instructional and research activities of the School of Law and the UCLA academic community in general. The Law Library collection includes over 550,000 bound volumes and documents, over 84,000 microforms plus a wealth of materials in newer formats, with increasing emphasis on a wide variety of computerized information resources.
Central to the Library's collection are comprehensive holdings of published case decisions and statutes from the United States and other common law jurisdictions. The Library also houses a substantial collection of legal treatises and legal and law-related periodical literature. As the UCLA School of Laws programs in international and comparative law have grown in recent years, the UCLA Law Library has broadened its collection scope.
