Law 260 - Labor Law I (Profs. Gold, Stone)

This course will focus on the federal law governing relations between private-sector employers and workers acting collectively through unions. We will study the structure, function and jurisdiction of the National Labor Relations Board, which administers federal private sector labor law. We will study union organizing, collective bargaining between unions and management, and the regulation of the economic force that workers and management may use in dispute resolution (including strike, picketing, and lockouts).
