Law 261 - Employment Law

Examines the relationship between individual workers and their employers. We will survey the federal and California statutory and common law regulation of employment, covering such topics as wrongful dismissal, employee privacy, workplace health and safety, and wage and hour laws. Note: This course does not cover unionized workers; they are the subject of labor law. Nor does this course cover employment discrimination , which is also the subject of a separate course.
