Law 319 - Election Law (Prof. Lowenstein)

This course considers ways in which the law governing the political process affects and reflects political power relationships. Topics covered will include campaign finance, the right to vote, Bush v. Gore, districting, political parties, and ballot propositions. No background in politics or political science is required. In addition to two papers and a multiple choice final examination, students will be expected to participate actively in class discussions.
