Julie Cantor will teach the seminar, Reproduction, Medical Ethics and the Law. She is a national expert on the interrelations between health, ethics and the law.
In 2004, Cantor co-authored the article, “The Limits of Conscientious Objection: May Pharmacists Refuse to Fill Prescriptions for Emergency Contraception?”, (New England Journal of Medicine, Vol. 351, No. 19), an extremely provocative piece about the ethics of conscientious objection by pharmacists who refuse to fill prescriptions for the “morning after pill.” As a result of this article, Cantor has delivered numerous presentations across the country on this hotly debated topic.
She has previously taught at Yale University, where she created her course on reproduction, ethics and the law.
