The panel will examine the current phenomena of how difficult it has become to gain shareholder approval for many recently proposed deals--even "friendly" deals. The panel will discuss some of the solicitation, PR, and valuation issues that surround getting a deal approved by shareholders, along with legal implications of these issues.

Purpose: The purpose of The UCLA M&A First Monday Forum is to provide a venue for monthly discussion of current M&A issues by M&A professionals, including attorneys, accountants, and investment bankers.
Invitees: The Forum is open on a first-come, first-served basis to M&A professionals.
Future Dates: Subsequent meetings will be held on the first Monday of each month.
