Law 363 - Tax - Exempt Organizations (Prof. Bryant)

This course focuses on federal tax laws that pertain to tax-exempt organizations.Specific tax issues considered in the class include requirements to receive and maintain tax-exempt status, different federal tax requirements for various tax-exempt organizations, and federal taxation of business income that is “unrelated” to a nonprofit organization’s mission. There are no prerequisites for taking this course. This course is graded on the basis of short writing assignments, class presentations, class attendance, class participation, and a closed book final examination. Class attendance is mandatory.
