Joe Hilberman is currently a full-time mediator and arbitrator at ADR Services in Century City and a former judge on the Los Angeles Superior Court.  He teaches Advanced Judicial Process

After law school, Hilberman joined Shield & Shield, where he specialized in litigation.  He was a partner at Levinson & Lieberman from 1981 - 1984, a senior partner at Fonda Garrard Hilberman & Davis from 1994 - 1996 and a founding partner of Fonda Hilberman & Fraser in 1996.  In his 27-year career, his practice focused primarily on civil litigation in the areas of tort, employment law and medical malpractice.  Hilberman currently presides over an unlimited civil trial court in Santa Monica.  He was named “2008 Jurist of the Year” by the Los Angeles Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates.

Hilberman has previously taught as an adjunct professor at Loyola Law School and has been a lecturer at USC School of Medicine.  He has been featured on ABC’s “World News” and “Good Morning America” for his work in medical-legal education.
