Who
The
UCLA-National Black Law Journal is accepting comments and articles for
Spring 2006 publication in the UCLA 35th Anniversary NBLJ issue. The NBLJ was
established in 1970 by 5 black law students and 2 black law professors at UCLA.
The Journal was the first of its kind to be dedicated to the publishing of works
which objectively analyze and evaluate the impact of laws on the black
community. In keeping with this tradition the 35th Anniversary issue will focus
on the debate surrounding the academic performance of African American law
students.
What

- What is the role of stereotypes of black intellectual deficits in shaping the
institutional environment?
- What is the impact of phenomena such as “stereotype threat” on the educational
