The UCLA Ziman Center for Real Estate to Host Critical Redevelopment Conference “California’s Urbanscape: Redevelopment in the 21st Century”

February 14, 2012 -- The UCLA Ziman Center for Real Estate, a joint center of the UCLA School of Law and the Anderson School of Business, is holding a critical redevelopment conference on February 21st, 2012 at Covel Commons Grand Horizon Room on the UCLA campus from 8:00AM-12:30PM.

In light of the recent California Supreme Court decision upholding the State's right to eliminate redevelopment agencies, and striking down a compromise measure that would have allowed redevelopment agencies (RDAs) to continue under a revenue-sharing agreement, this conference will bring together experts from research and practice to discuss the future of redevelopment in California.

California Senator Alex Padilla is keynoting and UCLA Law Professor Jonathan Zasloff will be presenting a brief legal analysis of the recent California Supreme Court decision to dissolve RDAs.
