Alex Wang Quoted in New York Times Article on Cross-Border Pollution from China

On January 20, the New York Times asked UCLA Law Professor Alex Wang to comment on a study on the cross-border impacts of Chinese air pollution.  The study indicated that air pollution generated by Chinese export industriescontributes to United States air quality problems.

Professor Wang is quoted as saying of the study: "This is a reminder to us that a significant percentage of China’s emissions of traditional pollutants and greenhouse gas emissions are connected to the products we buy and use every day in the U.S. We should be concerned, not only because this pollution is harming the citizens of China, but because it’s damaging the air quality in parts of the U.S."
