Professor Schwartz's Forthcoming Article Highlighted in SCOTUS Blog Post

May 7, 2014 -- Professor Joanna Schwartz's forthcoming piece was recently discussed in a SCOTUS Blog article. Professor Schwartz examined indemnification in constitutional tort cases and how effective tort cases are in deterring future behavior. 

Professor Schwartz believes that indemnification practices "achieve the stated goal of qualified immunity doctrine," but worries that adding qualified immunity, "reduces the deterrent effect of lawsuits nearly to zero."
