July 21, 2011 -- Professor Kenneth Klee commented on a potential bankruptcy filing for Jefferson County. His comments appear in an article on WVTM "Alabama's 13." ​

“A lot of attention has been paid to the sewer bonds in the press, but very little attention has been paid to the general fund deficit. As I see it the sewer bonds are the tail wagging the dog." Ken Klee said.

Attorney Ken Klee says if the county files for Chapter 9 they're going to need advice from council and financial advisors to structure a plan of rehabilitation. He says Chapter 9 could have a dramatic impact.
