Professor Klee Comments on Possible Bankruptcy Filing for Jefferson County in WVTM Alabama's 13 Article

July 21, 2011 -- Professor Kenneth Klee commented on a potential bankruptcy filing for Jefferson County. His comments appear in an article on WVTM "Alabama's 13."
“A lot of attention has been paid to the sewer bonds in the press, but very little attention has been paid to the general fund deficit. As I see it the sewer bonds are the tail wagging the dog." Ken Klee said.
Attorney Ken Klee says if the county files for Chapter 9 they're going to need advice from council and financial advisors to structure a plan of rehabilitation. He says Chapter 9 could have a dramatic impact.
