Anti-Defamation League – "To stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all people alike."
"The Japanese American Citizens League was founded in 1929 to fight discrimination against people of Japanese ancestry. It is the largest and one of the oldest Asian American organizations in the United States." 
Leadership Conference on Civil Rights – "For almost a half century, the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights has led the fight for equal opportunity and social justice.  
Founded on the eve of historic victories in the struggle against racial discrimination, the Leadership Conference has become the nerve-center for the struggle against discrimination in all its forms."
Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund – "MALDEF is a national nonprofit organization whose mission is to protect and promote the civil rights of the more than 29 million Latinos living in the United States. Since its founding in 1968, MALDEF has become the leading Latino civil rights organization in the nation, establishing several legal precedents that have tremendously benefited Latinos and other under-served groups throughout the country."
National Asian Pacific American Legal Consortium – "The Consortium works to advance the legal and civil rights of Asian Pacific Americans through litigation, public education and public policy. A nationally recognized voice on behalf of Asian Pacific Americans, the Consortium focuses its expertise on anti-Asian violence prevention and education, voting rights, immigration, naturalization, affirmative action, language rights and the census."
National Association for the Advancement of Colored People – "The NAACP is the oldest, largest and strongest Civil Rights Organization in the United States. The principal objective of the NAACP is to ensure the political, educational, social and economic equality of minority group citizens of the United States." 
The National Council of La Raza – "NCLR is a private, nonprofit, nonpartisan, tax-exempt organization established in 1968 to reduce poverty and discrimination, and improve life opportunities for Hispanic Americans."
National Gay and Lesbian Task Force – "NGLTF is a leading progressive civil rights organization that has supported grassroots organizing and advocacy since 1973. NGLTF is a progressive organization, committed to building coalition with other communities working for social change."
National Organization for Women – "NOW is the largest organization of feminist activists in the United States. NOW has 250,000 members and 550 chapters in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Since its founding in 1966, NOW's goal has been "to take action" to bring about equality for all women. Both the actions NOW takes and its position on the issues are often unorthodox, uncompromising and ahead of their time."
NOW Legal Defense and Education Fund – "In its 29th year, NOW LDEF continues to be at the center of every major social and economic justice concern on the women's rights agenda, defining the issues and bringing them to public attention. NOW LDEF pursues equality for women and girls in the workplace, the schools, the family and the courts, through litigation, education, and public information programs."
National Urban League – "Founded in 1910, the National Urban League is the premier social service and civil rights organization in America. The League is a nonprofit, community-based organization headquartered in New York City, with 115 affiliates in 34 states and the District of Columbia. The mission of the National Urban League is to assist African Americans in the achievement of social and economic equality."
People For the American Way – "People For the American Way Foundation is committed to defending democracy and bringing the ideals of community, opportunity, diversity, equality and fairness together to form a strong, united voice. To achieve this, PFAWF conducts research, legal and education work, as well as monitors and researches the Religious Right movement and its political allies.
