Administrative
Assistant
The Williams Institute seeks
an experienced and energetic Administrative Assistant with a
passion for advancing the mission of the Institute and
meeting and exceeding goals. Qualified applicants will have
the ability to manage,
organize, plan and follow through on projects under general
guidance and supervision in order to set priorities
effectively and meet deadlines. Applicants must be able to
work evening and weekend hours as necessary for events and
programs. Candidate must have working knowledge of event
management principles and demonstrated ability to organize
and implement the logistical requirements of events and
programs. Demonstrated experience enlisting and managing
volunteers. Proficiency in operating a Windows-based
personal computer with electronic mail (Outlook), word
processing (Word), database (Access), graphics (Adobe
Powerpoint and Quark) and spreadsheet (Excel) software
packages, as well as familiarity with the Internet. Skill in
writing grammatically correct business correspondence,
routine memoranda, including the ability to compose from
verbal instructions with minimal direction. Demonstrated
experience in establishing and maintaining complex filing,
pending, and tickler systems. Demonstrated experience in
scheduling appointments, arranging meetings and special
events, and maintaining complex calendar. Ability to
establish and maintain professional working relationships
with faculty and staff. Salary dependent on experience and
qualifications.

Education Coordinator
The Williams Institute
seeks an
experienced and energetic Education Coordinator with a
passion for advancing the mission of the Institute and
meeting and exceeding goals. Qualified applicants will have
creativity, enthusiasm, and excellent organizational
skills. The Education Coordinator will oversee and
implement the Institute’s education programs and help
disseminate its research to judges, legislators, other
policy-makers, and the public. The Education Coordinator
will primarily be responsible for the Institute's
conferences, roundtables, and speakers series; CLE courses;
webpage content; newsletters, and e-mail alerts. The
Education Coordinator will also support the Institute’s
judicial training and development programs. Strong writing,
interpersonal and computer skills required. Applicants with
prior experience with conference planning, event planning,
legal education, public relations and/or sexual orientation
law and public policy issues preferred. The Education
Coordinator will report to the Executive Director and fit
easily into a hardworking team. Salary dependent on
experience and qualifications.

Development Director
The Williams Institute seeks an experienced and energetic
fundraising professional with a passion for advancing the
mission of the Institute and meeting and exceeding goals.
Qualified applicants will have a successful track record,
creativity, and enthusiasm. The Institute seeks a
self-motivated leader who can develop and implement a
comprehensive fundraising program to expand and diversify
our income base. A number of new programs and systems will
need to be created while current programs and events are
strengthened. The
Development Director will report to the Executive Director,
work closely with the Institute’s Founders Council, and fit
easily into a hardworking team. Salary dependent on
experience and qualifications.
