The Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center will present Bob Mackie, nine-time Emmy-winning and three-time Oscar-nominated fashion and costume designer, with its Rand Schrader Distinguished Achievement Award at its 32nd Anniversary Gala, to be held Saturday, November 15, at the Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles. The Center will present philanthropist, professor, and businessman Charles ("Chuck") Williams, founder of the Charles R. Williams Project on Sexual Orientation Law of UCLA School of Law, with its Board of Directors Award. Carol Burnett will make a special appearance on behalf of Bob Mackie, and the evening will feature a runway show of Mackie fashions. For info, call Bonnie Osborn at (323) 860-7364.
