Course Description

LAW 452 - Class Actions

This course will focus on doctrine, policy, and practice relating to the class action as a device for resolving claims by multiple parties arising from a common set of facts or events. Topics covered will include class certification, representation, fees, and settlements. Particular attention will be paid to the future of the class action and the impact of procedural choices on public law litigation.
