This seminar will focus on the right to keep and bear arms.  We will examine the philosophical and historical origins of the arms right; the controversy over the original meaning of the Second Amendment; the right to bear arms jurisprudence under state constitutional law; the reasoning and implications of the landmark Supreme Court decision in District of Columbia v. Heller and NYSRPA v. Bruen; and the various issues of firearms law currently being considered in the courts.
