UCLA School of Law receives notices and information about various scholarships, fellowships and writing competitions sponsored by foundations, alumni associations, bar associations, etc. The Financial Aid Office will post applicable notices on this page or our intranet site as received.

THE REEVES LAW GROUP SCHOLARSHIP
This year the Reeves Law Group is offering a $3,000 scholarship. We ask the students to tell us about their genuine desire and goal of using the legal system to fix problems or improve conditions in our society.

COMMUNITY SERVICE SCHOLARSHIP
The $1,500 Medical Malpractice Help Community Service Scholarship recognizes the time, effort, and sacrifice that students spend to make a difference in their communities, not to mention the real-world experience that students gain in the process.

CHISHOLM CHISHOLM & KILPATRICK'S LAW SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP FOR VETERANS
Chisholm, Chisholm & Kilpatrick LTD will award an annual $1,500 scholarship to a deserving veteran enrolled in or accepted to a U.S law school. Veterans of all branches of the U.S Military are eligible to apply (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and Coast Guard).

BRAGER TAX LAW GROUP LEGAL SCHOLARSHIP
One scholarship of $1,000 for a current undergraduate student enrolled in a tax or accounting program, or law student who is interested in pursuing a career in tax litigation and preferably is from California, has graduated from a college or university there, or is currently attending law school there.

CRIMINAL DEFENSE STUDENT LAW SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP
One scholarship of $2,500 for an undergraduate or law student who is concerned about the affordability and access to legal services in the USA, with a preference for individuals who are from Boston or have attended a college, university, or law school there.

THE BLANCH LAW FIRM SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
We are offering a $5,000 award to students who write the best article according to our parameters. This is a Fall 2018 scholarship and students would be able to apply throughout the semester.

STUDENT LEADERSHIP SCHOLARSHIP
Newsome Melton started the $1,500 Student Leadership Scholarship to recognize student leaders and to help them get an education that will allow them to continue their efforts to make a difference in their communities.

DDR LAWYERS LEGAL SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship by Dolan Dobrinsky Rosenblum, LLP is a recurring scholarship worth $1,500 designed to help one law student with their tuition costs. We welcome all eligible students to apply and look forward to reviewing your application.

2018 LEGAL WRITING SCHOLARSHIP
Clear, effective writing is the cornerstone of an exceptional lawyer, and a vital area of education for aspiring attorneys. The Expert Institute is offering a $2,000 scholarship for the best legal blog post written by a law student on the topic of expert witnesses.

THE GEORGELIS INJURY LAW FIRM, P.C. SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
Our scholarship is open to ALL students who plan on enrolling, or are currently enrolled, in law school in 2019. The winning applicant will receive $1,500 towards the cost of their legal education.

SWITZER FELLOWSHIP
The Switzer Fellowship Program offers one-year Fellowships to highly talented graduate students in New England and California whose studies and career goals are directed toward environmental improvement and who clearly demonstrate leadership in their field. The Fellowship includes a $15,000 cash award for academic study, leadership training, access to a vibrant network of more than 600 Switzer Fellowship alums, and opportunities for professional development during the Fellowship year and beyond.

PAUL D. WHITE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The Paul D. White Scholarship is awarded annually to law students of Black or African American, Hispanic or Latino, Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, Asian, American Indian, or Alaska Native descent. The scholarship includes a paid summer clerkship and a $7,500 cash award.

FEDERAL BAR ASSOCIATION’S INLAND EMPIRE CHAPTER- 3L SCHOLARSHIP
We award the scholarship annually to one or two outstanding law student(s) with a connection to the Inland Empire. This year each award will be in the amount of up to $1,000. It will be presented at our annual Judges Night Dinner.  Application

“ENTREPRENEURIAL SPIRIT” LAW SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP
Lemberg law is offering a $1,250 scholarship to a law student who fosters an entrepreneurial spirit of their own.  This scholarship is open to current or incoming law school students who are U.S. citizens, "Dreamers," or legal permanent residents.

This is a recurring scholarship worth $2,000 designed to help one incoming 1L or continuing law school student pay for their tuition costs.

JUSTICE HOLLIS G. BEST SCHOLARSHIP
As a memorial to the late Presiding Justice Hollis G. Best, his friends have established a scholarship to encourage and support outstanding academic achievement and commitment to service by law students. The Best Scholarship is an annual award presented this year in the amount of $2,000, during the Spring 2019 semester. More than one scholar-ship may be awarded.  Application

The Burkle Center for International Relations at UCLA awards several scholarships each academic year. These scholarships are made possible by a generous gift from Alice Belkin, and are intended to support outstanding minority graduate students in need of financial assistance and studying fields related to globalization or international relations. We welcome applications from students pursuing a JD or PhD as well. Successful applicants will receive up to $4,000.

WLALA’S LAW SCHOOL TUITION SCHOLARSHIP
The Women Lawyer Association of Los Angeles (WLALA) Foundation is pleased once again to offer tuition scholarships to law students. As it did last year, the WLALA Foundation will award one-time tuition scholarships of up to $5,000 for the 2019 academic year to law students whose prior and current activities, and future plans demonstrate a commitment to issues affecting women and/or children. Women and men are eligible to apply.

The Davis-Putter Scholarship Fund aids people active in movements for social and economic justice.  The maximum grant available from these need-based scholarships is $10,000 per year (from July 1 through June 30).

LAW OFFICES OF RANDOLPH RICE SCHOLARSHIP 2019
We understand that the leaders of tomorrow are working and often sacrificing to receive an education today. That’s why in 2016 we launched our annual Law Offices of Randolph Rice Scholarship. The purpose is to award a $1,500 scholarship each year to a deserving student to apply towards college costs and help that student realize his or her potential.

This scholarship awards $3,000 to a student who has demonstrated an interest in a career as a trial lawyer, and a passion for representing injured individuals whose rights have been jeopardized.

Only students, who have a 3.0 GPA or higher may apply for this scholarship. This $2,000 scholarship award will be sent directly to the winner’s school and can be used for all school-related expenses.

Arnold & Itkin LLP will award $5,000 to two current law students who share our passion for assisting the underprivileged and the victims of tragedy. Regardless of the area of law, the scholarship recipients should be focused on utilizing the legal system to support those less fortunate. All applicants should demonstrate both past and current dedication to victim advocacy and/or community service.
