Call for Nominations (Deadline: January 25, 2019)

Event Information

On April 9, 2019, the UCLA Law community will gather at U. Serve L.A. to celebrate and honor UCLA Law students and alumni who have made outstanding contributions to public interest law and policy. We appreciate your help in identifying who to honor at this year's event. We are asking for nominations of individuals who deserve recognition for their commitment to a cause(s) that fall within the broad umbrella of "public interest law and policy." Individuals can be recognized for their leadership, advocacy, organizing, volunteer work, government service, or any combination thereof.

UCLA Law Student Awards

1L, 2L, 3L, & LLM Awards: These awards recognize two current UCLA Law students in each class for outstanding contributions to public interest initiatives at UCLA School of Law, including the David J. Epstein Program in Public Interest Law and Policy, and/or to public interest work more generally.

Alumni Awards

Recent Alumni Award: Recognizes a UCLA Law alumnus who graduated from the law school in 2014 or later for outstanding contributions to public interest law and policy and/or has provided opportunities for UCLA Law students to serve in the public interest.

Pro Bono Award: Recognizes a UCLA Law alumnus in private practice who has made substantial contributions to public interest work through the provision or facilitation of pro bono legal services and/or has provided opportunities for UCLA Law students to serve in the public interest.

Trailblazer Award: Recognizes a UCLA Law alumnus who, over the course of a career, has had a substantial impact in the field of public interest law and or policy and/or has provided opportunities for UCLA Law students to serve in the public interest.

To nominate an individual, please submit your responses to this nomination form (one nomination per form) by January 25, 2019.
