Adi Schnaps is a seasoned professional contributing to the academic and corporate spheres. Serving as an instructor for the Part-time Transactional/Corporate Externship Seminar within UCLA School of Law’s part-time externship program since the program’s inception, Adi brings a wealth of expertise to her role. Simultaneously, she holds the position of Associate General Counsel for Happy Returns, a subsidiary of UPS, where she oversees the legal function and provides comprehensive advice on a diverse range of legal matters. Adi's extensive background includes her role as Senior Legal Counsel for PayPal’s Commercial Legal team, where she supported the global sales and marketing organizations and played a key role in the integration of newly acquired businesses, including Happy Returns and Honey. Prior to her tenure at PayPal, Adi served as the Commercial Contracts Counsel for Honey, a rapidly growing tech company later acquired by PayPal. In this capacity, she closely collaborated with business teams, offering strategic guidance on commercial contracts that influenced Honey's operations, growth, and product initiatives. Earlier in her career, Adi held the position of Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs at FMG, a multimedia entertainment, casino, and retail company, where she served as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team, overseeing the in-house legal department. Her corporate journey also includes a role as Corporate Counsel at SBE Entertainment Group, an LA-based hospitality and entertainment company, following her foundational legal experience at the esteemed law firm Venable, LLP.

Adi's extensive background as a deep generalist empowers her to dynamically provide comprehensive review, analysis, and counsel on a broad spectrum of legal and business matters, including contracts, product development, disputes, litigation, and various other legal and business matters. Her proficiency extends to the drafting, negotiation, and advisory of agreements across diverse sectors and verticals, encompassing commercial transactions, finance, product licensing, broadcasting, internet, casino operations, retail, publishing, marketing, intellectual property, human resources, construction, and real estate.

Holding a B.B.A. summa cum laude from Hofstra University and a J.D. from UCLA School of Law, where she served as Managing Editor for the UCLA Entertainment Law Review, Adi has consistently demonstrated academic excellence. During law school, she externed for The Honorable Judge Dean Pregerson of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. Adi is a member of the California and New York Bars. Notably, she served as the Pro Bono site lead for PayPal’s Los Angeles office and is continiung her dedication to giving back to the community as a pro bono organizer at UPS.
