Edward Zaelke

Lecturer in Law

Edward Zaelke is a Lecturer at UCLA School of Law and will teach Renewable Energy Project Finance. Mr. Zaelke has spent over 30 years as an attorney specializing in the development and finance of renewable energy projects in the U.S. and abroad and represents or has represented many of the Country’s leading renewable energy developers, lenders and private equity investors. He has also been involved in federal energy policy during much of his career, having served on the Boards of Directors of the American Wind Energy Association for 12 years and the Wind Solar Alliance for over 7 years. He is currently Co-Head of the Global Energy and Project Finance Practice at McDermott, Will & Emery.

Mr. Zaelke received his B.A. from California State University, Long Beach in 1980. He received his J.D. from UCLA Law School in 1983, where he received Order of the Coif honors. He also served as Managing Editor of the UCLA Law Review.
