Kalpana Srinivasan will co-teach Class Actions at UCLA School of Law. She is currently a Partner and member of the Executive Committee at Susman Godfrey L.L.P. where she has secured significant victories for her clients in class action matters involving intellectual property, antitrust, employment and other substantive areas. Her class action work spans representation of plaintiffs and defendants in courtrooms across the country, including trying to verdict class action cases.
Srinivasan has been named one of the “Top 100 Lawyers” in California and 2017 “Top IP Lawyer” by the Daily Journal. She has also been named a “2017 Power Lawyer” by The Hollywood Reporter. The National Law Journal has also called Srinivasan one of the nation's 75 Outstanding Women Lawyers and has been deemed a "Powerbroker" by Law360. In 2014, the Los Angeles and San Francisco Daily Journal named Srinivasan one of California's "Top 20 [Lawyers] Under 40". Srinivasan also has been recognized as a Southern California Super Lawyer in 2016 and 2017, awarded to no more than the top 5% of the lawyers in the state of California.
Srinivasan received her B.A. cum laude from Yale University, and her J.D. with distinction from Stanford Law School. After law school, she clerked for the Honorable Raymond C. Fisher for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Before becoming a lawyer, she reported for The Associated Press in Washington D.C., covering national media and telecommunications policy.
