The Attorney General's Honors Program is a highly competitive, two-year program for recent law school graduates and newly admitted lawyers who are committed to public service. The Attorney General's Office employs attorneys who are recognized experts in a wide variety of legal subject areas including but not limited to consumer, antitrust, environment, business and tax, criminal and civil rights. Honors attorneys will have the opportunity to work with these experts, including working on matters of public interest and importance. Participants will assume substantial individual responsibility for their work, will have the opportunity to gain courtroom experience, and will independently draft motions and pleadings.

Honors attorneys will also participate in periodic events to introduce them to the work of the Attorney General's Office, and will have the opportunity to attend training sessions, community-outreach meetings and public-service events.  Additionally, participants will receive on-the-job instruction and mentorship advice from some of the most senior members of the Attorney General's Office. For the 2014-2016 program, participants will be based in Los Angeles.

Applicants should be in their 3L year or within their first year of practice.  2Ls are welcome to attended the informational session
