UCLA School of Law Commencement will take place on May 11, 2018 and will feature keynote speaker U.S. Rep. Ted Lieu.
U.S. Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) will deliver the keynote address at UCLA School of Law’s 67th Commencement ceremony on Friday, May 11, 2018. The Commencement ceremony will be held in Dickson Court North, adjacent to Dodd Hall, starting at 3:30 p.m. on May 11. All are welcome, and tickets are not required.
Through a distinguished career in the military, law practice and state and federal government, Lieu has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to the defense of civil liberties, consumer rights and the environment. Currently, he represents California’s 33rd congressional district, which includes UCLA and the Westwood area. First elected in 2014, he serves as the assistant whip of the 115th Congress and is a member of the House committees on the judiciary and foreign affairs. He is a leading voice in areas including veterans’ affairs, cybersecurity and climate change.
