October 7, 2013 -- Professor Ingrid Eagly commented on Governor Brown's veto of a bill that would have allowed noncitizens to serve on juries. Her comments appear in a Los Angeles Times article.
"I believe that allowing noncitizens who are lawfully present in the United States is a desirable reform for California," said Ingrid Eagly, an assistant professor of law at the UCLA School of Law. "I do not see any legal obstacles to the inclusion of noncitizens on juries in California."
