May 12, 2014 -- Professor Raustiala recently co-authored an op-ed with Christopher Sprigman, a professor at NYU School of Law, in Slate. The op-ed examines the beneficial effects of copying, or tweaking, ideas and subsequent innovation.
"Tweaking does not appear to lead to fewer original creations. If anything, it may often encourage them. Many of the most significant and enduring rest on tweaking."
