Professor Volokh Interviewed for Daily Report on Whether Internet Speech Constitutes Stalking

October 8, 2014 — Professor Eugene Volokh is quoted in the Daily Report, which covers legal issues in Georgia, in an article about a Georgia Supreme Court case about stalking, free speech rights on the Internet and the author of "The Dash," an oft-cited poem.

(Attorney Oscar) Michelen shared his argument time with Eugene Volokh, a UCLA law professor whose First Amendment amicus clinic filed a brief on behalf of the Electronic Frontier Foundation and Loyola Law School professor Aaron Kaplan. Volokh, who also founded the widely read Volokh Conspiracy blog, told the justices that none of (Matthew) Chan's posts constituted a threat, but even if some of them did, the restraining order was too broad.
