Professor Winkler Discusses the Shift Toward State and Local Action on Gun Control in Los Angeles Times Article

August 5, 2015 –- Professor Adam Winkler is quoted in a Los Angeles Times article on the shift toward imposing tighter gun regulations at the state and local level.

“Los Angeles, long at the forefront of municipal efforts to regulate firearms, has been strongly positioned to embrace such measures because of its liberal, heavily Democratic voter base and large minority populations, which surveys have shown generally favor stronger restrictions on guns,” UCLA Law School professor Adam Winkler said.

Professor Winkler identifies the shift toward state and local control as “the biggest change in the gun control movement in a generation.”
