Professor Sharon Dolovich Quoted in Daily Journal on Gender Bias Case Brought Against California Department of Corrections

October 23, 2015 – Professor Sharon Dolovich commented in the Daily Journal on a gender bias case brought against the California Department of Corrections which excluded men from its Alternative Custody Program, intended to allow inmates who were primary caregivers convicted of a low-level, non-violent crime to serve their time at home or in a transitional care facility.  “The purpose of the program would be equally well served by allowing both genders to participate,” Dolovich said.
