Megan Herzog of Emmett Institute Speaks at California Senate Select Committee Oversight Hearing on the Refugio Oil Spill

November 10, 2015 – Megan Herzog, Emmett/Frankel Fellow in Environmental Law and Policy, was a featured speaker at California Senator Ben Allen’s Senate Select Committee Oversight Hearing on the Refugio Oil Spill, which conducted a hearing on the local impacts of the Refugio Oil Spill to the South Bay. The Refugio Oil Spill was responsible for the release of more than 100,000 gallons of crude oil and leaked approximately 21,000 gallons into the Pacific Ocean at Refugio State Beach in Santa Barbara on May 19, 2015.
