Professor Kimberlé Crenshaw Joins International Panel of Feminist Activists to Discuss Violence Against Women

December 9, 2015 – Professor Kimberlé Crenshaw hosted and participated in a panel discussion, “Bodies of Revolution: Women Rising Against the Police, Violence, and Empire,” in New York on December 5, 2015, as part of the One Billion Rising campaign, the biggest mass activist campaign to end violence against women.  Female activists from around the world converged to discuss the intersection of violence with state and government, and explored why and how women experience violence, and what activists are doing to curb it.

Professor Crenshaw and her work were featured in an article about the event on the “Women in the World” website, a collaboration with The New York Times.
