Ethan Elkind Quoted on KPCC on How L.A. County Metro Must Prioritize its Projects to Secure $120 Billion in Funding from Voters

March 11, 2016 – Ethan Elkind, associate director of the Climate Change and Business Program, was quoted on KPCC in a discussion about how the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority is prioritizing its list of pending projects in order to convince voters to pay for them through a proposed $120 billion ballot measure. 

"The main challenge is they have to keep so many different parts of the county happy and that means spreading the goodies around,” said Elkind.  “Metro must choose a roster of projects that appeal to a wide cross-section of voters, particularly those in politically powerful areas that may not have the greatest need for transit.”
