Michael Roberts of Resnick Program Talks to UC News about Legal and Policy Issues of Food System

March 16, 2016 – Michael Roberts, executive director of the Resnick Program for Food Law and Policy, was interviewed by UC News on the numerous legal and policy issues that intersect the food system, and how having good “food citizens” leads to good food systems.

“Having people that understand how the food system and food policy works, who can work in local school districts, on city councils or in lots of different ways is vital,” said Roberts. “Parents and volunteers, on their own time, are important allies in changing the food system. Lawyers are often good leaders, and we hope through our program to create good leaders as well.”
